About ALH
I’m a 24 year old college kid working towards my under graduate degree in construction engineering. I go to school at the one and only Texas Tech University! Go Red Raiders.
This blog is set up as a personal blog at the moment. I’m not 100% sure what I want to accomplish here, so the things I write about here will probably be somewhat random. Hopefully as I start to write more I will find my niche and I can narrow down the subject matter a little more, but I don’t think that I ever want this to be a on singular subject.
I like the idea of posting and writing about all types of material that I find interesting.
One quick note is that you will find affiliate links on my site. I only review or recommend something unless I know it’s awesome so you can buy with confidence. If you want to buy it then I will greatly appreciate it, but if you don’t that’s cool too. I hope I can keep giving you premium content that you will want to come back and read.
If you have any questions for me, have a suggestion for a topic to write about, or just want to say hi feel free to leave a comment on one of the posts or send me an email at austin.hatfield@gmail.com

I like your attitude toward blogging. Blogging with dollar signs in mind never works because building street cred is a slow, gradual process when you’re not rock star famous. I myself quit blogging at least half a dozen times before realizing this. Patience, authenticity, and great posts will carry you far. Don’t worry about niche-fying your blog just yet.
Another word on making money online: It ain’t easy. Do yourself a favor and avoid the temptation to sell scammy infomercial affiliated products like millions of other dupes.
Hey Mike
Thanks for the awesome encouragement!
Hey Austin … you and I are “pals” on Twitter so I thought I’d come check out your site. I had to stop exploring as soon as I found your about page because it seems we have another thing in common (aside from the not wanting 9 to 5′s) … we’re both engineers. Neat.
I like what I see so far …. of to explore some more
